Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Blue Ox base plate on a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. Now this is what your base plate is gonna look like when it's installed on your Traverse. And it does a pretty good job of making sure everything looks nice and tidy. Once installed, when you don't have your arms attached, it's pretty, almost flushed with the front of the fascia, which is really nice, it gives you a clean look. Your safety chain loops do stick out a little bit, but that's so you can hook onto them nice and easy. And the crossbar that they have will allow you to mount up your 6-pole as well as your breakaway switch on the opposite sides of the license plate, so you don't have to worry about anything getting in the way. more

Roadmaster Base Plate Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Traverse

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, we will be installing the Roadmaster EZ base plate kit, part number 523149-1. Now to begin our installation we will need to remove the front bumper cover, to do this we will remove the ten plastic fasteners attaching the radiator cover to the course of port fascia here on the top. Now on each side of the vehicle theres one plastic fastener attaching the weather stripping here at the back for the hood, to the cover, so well need to remove those as well. With that done we can go ahead and set the cover aside for reinstallation later. We will now remove the six 7 mm bolts attaching the radiator core to the course of port; this will loosen up the upper bumper cover. We will now move into our fender wells here where we will need to remove the 7 mm bolt and the two Phillips head screws, these are all located on the inside edge of the fender well. more
